Netherlands: Hurricane Nurse
Richard Prince. Hurricane Nurse. 2001
I thought that it's a book cover, but apparently not. I wasn't successful in googling what is this poster about, but I love it.
I'm also excited to receive these stamps on the card because they are from 80-90ss and it does not happen very often to receive something different from Dutch postcrossers.

U.S.A.: Nurses are all Heart
Nurses are all Heart Boop.
Looks like USPS makes additional effort to stain stamps when specifically asked to hand cancel them.
Private swap. Thanks, Evgenia!

Russia: The USSR
Moscow, Kalinin Prospekt. This is really cool idea to illuminate windows this way :)
I've got this nice postcard from this person: http://www.postcrossing.com/user/Reynard. But there is no ID and Postcrossing search could not help (twice) to register the card. And the sender does not reply. Moreover, the sender did not write my street number and apartment number. Just the street name. And it still arrived. I wonder if the person just found a part of my address here, on a scan of a postcard. I usually partially remove my address from scans.
Thanks, Zhenya!

Russia: 5 pounds
“Shelley’s boat, when opened, completely puzzled
Solomon, and he took counsel of his assistants,
who having walked over it twice, first with
their toes pointed out, and then with their
toes pointed in, decided that it came from some
greedy person who wanted five.
They thought this because there was a large
five printed on it. ‘Preposterous!’ cried Solomon
in a rage, and he presented it to Peter; anything
useless was usually given to Peter as a plaything.”

China: Thank you envelope
Today I received this wonderful Thank You envelope from a Chinese postcrosser. There were a couple of really nice Shanghai cards which I will not show because they are blank. And there also was this retro Canadian card with return address, which he asked to stamp and send him back. Quite unusual request which I will gladly fulfill.

Russia: Moscow Metro
Teatralnaya station main hall/platform.
It was formerly named Sverdlov Square after Yakov Sverdlov, one of the Bolshevik Party leaders. If you look carefully at the trackway walls, you may be able to make out marks left by the former name. The vaulted ceiling is decorated with coffers that feature theatre themed bas-reliefs. The pylons are faced with white marble; the floor is covered with black and yellow granite tiles arranged in a checker-board pattern.
A surprise card from a postcrosser to who I've sent a thankyou card. Yeah, it's complicated :) Thank you, Yulia!
