Russia: If you want to be healthy – "quench" yourself!
Note: "quenching oneself" is a specific Russian term that derives from the Soviet Union times and relates to special training of thermoregulatory processes in the body by regular exposure to cold temperatures. The technique is neither evidence based nor proven effective. My grandfather actually got pneumonia by "quenching himself."

Ukraine: NO!
NO! – Soviet poster by V. Govorkov (1954).
Ok, it reminds me that it's time to hit a liquor store, lol. It's Friday, ok? :)

Russia: Moscow Metro
Teatralnaya station main hall/platform.
It was formerly named Sverdlov Square after Yakov Sverdlov, one of the Bolshevik Party leaders. If you look carefully at the trackway walls, you may be able to make out marks left by the former name. The vaulted ceiling is decorated with coffers that feature theatre themed bas-reliefs. The pylons are faced with white marble; the floor is covered with black and yellow granite tiles arranged in a checker-board pattern.
A surprise card from a postcrosser to who I've sent a thankyou card. Yeah, it's complicated :) Thank you, Yulia!

Ukraine: Hatred of enemies day
A group of Russian designers, photographers and illustrators made a big set of postcards (more than 400) for every day of the year. Every day is a holiday of commemorative day somewhere.
July 13: Hatred of enemies day. I don't know what country. The card is funny :)

Russia: Think before you drink
A beginning of my collection of Artlebedev Studio cards, I want them all. I can't translate this poem in English, but the bottom line is so much fun in the evening, so little fun in the morning :)

Russia: Keep your mouth shut!
My favourite postcard so far. From my Motherland. It is a Soviet poster that encourages you to keep your mouth shut as spies are everywhere :)
