Canada: The Oyster
I got this ad card from a seafood restaurant in Victoria, BC. When I learned that there is a special cancellation postmark available at Steveston Museum and Post Office I chose this card to send to myself. Because Steveston is a heritage fishing village.
Well, 1.5 hours on the bus and their untidy and poorly maintained postmark is on my stamp :)

U.S.A.: Wenonah
Princess Wenonah was the mother of Hiawatha in Longfellow's Song of Hiawatha. This mosaic was inset in the elevator lobby of the original Wenonah Hotel in Bay City. Its colorful history includes being lost in a cow pasture for 13 years. Restored, it is on display at the Bay Country Historical Society, Bay City, Michigan.
