Kings Island. The Beast opened in 1979 and still stands today as the longest wooden roller coaster in the world at 7,400 feet. The ride covers 35 acres of wooded terrain, with 141 and 135-foot vertical drops, a 540 degree helix tunnel and speeds reaching up to 65 miles per hour.
