Russia: A front-line nurse

An envelope full of unexpected surprises!

G. M. Shegal (1889-1956). Having a break. A nurse. 1945.
Is she really having a break? Her eyes are full of grief and empaphy for the soldiers who died or will die because of the War. No break for this nurse...

Private swap. Thanks, Hola1204!

In the envelope I also found this lovely OFDC that commemorates 300 years of Moscow Central Post Office. Natasha knows how dearly I love everything related to the post and post services. And also people in uniforms. Thanks, Natasha, I love it very much!
The souvenir sheet features several Russian stamps. In the upper left corner is the first stamp of the Russian Empire issued in 1857.

I also was happy to find several nursing and health care related stamps in this wonderful envelope!

The envelope from lovely Natasha came with these awesome stamps.
